You will play a key role in defining a future-proof security roadmap, and making key stategic and technical decisions that will shape Cyber security across the Academic domain.

Requirements
The Security Architect will collaborate closely with the broader architecture team and key ICT stakeholders, defining key Information security strategies and security architecture frameworks, paying close attention to related standards, processes, procedures, and compliance topics such as ISO27001/2, NIS2, GDPR, AI-Act, ePrivacy Directive etc
You will be analysing and gathering business requirements and designing robust security solutions based upon cutting-edge technology architecture. The Security Architect will have a flair for stakeholder engagement, collaborating with and advising, both technical and functional audiences, both inside and outside of the organisation.
It is highly advantageous that you align closely with topics such as Risk-Based Information Security, Accountability and Awareness and Security by Design & Default.
Extensive experience in information architecture, holding a security-related certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA and CRISC, SABSA, ISSAP, GIAC, CEH etc).
A relevant degree in Information Science, Cybersecurity, Business IT & Management etc
Experience with security standards, best practice and Cyber Security / Privacy related regulation (ISO27001/2, NIS2, GDPR, AI-Act, ePrivacy Directive etc)
Proven expertise in Security Architecture, security design, and various security platform solutions.
Comprehensive understanding of different security technologies, both on-premise and cloud-based.
Experience with DevOps, SaaS, PaaS, OpenStack, Cisco, F5, Microsoft (including AAD), and Linux is advantageous.
Architecture certifications like iSAQB CPSA, CCXP or TOGAF are a plus
