Requirements

The HPC Advisory Lead will be engaged in a number of innovative topics that will involve you in projects with a range of customers across North America. These will have a significant impact in advancements within the scientific and academic community including subjects related to HPC, Generative AI, data engineering, data centre optimisation and application performance.


As a HPC Advisory Lead you will have a strong understanding of data processing and distributed systems in the context of super-computing, with either a focus on CPU or GPU. Knowledge of Linux / Unix based systems and cloud computing is a distinct advantage, as is additional programming / scripting skills with Bash, Python, C/C++, and / or Fortran.


The position will suit a candidate that has a strong technical profile but enjoys advising technical teams, building / translating requirements into technical solutions and architectural designs / roadmaps, leveraging knowledge and motioning trends from across the international HPC community, and giving advice around the best way to utilise high-performance computing.


We are looking for candidates with a strong understanding of performance optimisation, parallel programming, parallelisation, accelerated computing, quantum computing, and GPU / CPU architecture with knowledge of things like CUDA, OpenCL, OpenACC, MPI and \ or OpenMP.


  • Extensive experience working with HPC infrastructure and clusters

  • Broad knowledge of performance optimisation, accelerated computing, quantum computing, and GPU / CPU architecture

  • Knowledge of Linux / Unix based systems and cloud computing

  • Programming / scripting skills with Bash, Python, C/C++, and / or Fortran

  • Parallel programming, parallelisation, CUDA, OpenCL, OpenACC, MPI and \ or OpenMP

  • Excellent Stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to travel to various destinations in North America and Europe

  • PhD or MSc level candidates would make you an excellent fit (although not essential).
